Senioritis is not an option

Even though I’ll be a second semester senior, chances are I will end up taking five classes again, if not 5.5 I guess senioritis won’t be an option for me :\

Here are the classes I’m considering as my fifth class:

  • compsci 100: yes I’m a dork. I miss programming. The scary part is, I don’t remember much at all about Java. Crap.
  • phil 241: It’s taught by Janiak, who was the one professor that challenged me the most in philosophy, so I have no doubt this seminar would be intellectually rewarding and fun. Oh the other hand, it will probably be lots of work. Another plus is that I have no done or read anything like the material taught in this class. Very tempted.

I wish I didn’t have to take Chinese, or dropped the econ major long time ago. *sigh* I should have been a compsci + philosophy double major. How cool would that be?

lost

i suddenly can’t find either my ring that I got from greece or my pair of pearl earrings. this is gonna bother me for a while. especially the ring part, b/c I can’t replace that unless i go back to freakin’ Naxos O_O. f*ck.

gone are the days of sundresses

the heat in the apartment has officially been turned on and I’m contemplating bringing out my cold clothes, finally. i’ve waiting for the fall to come for a while, but I can’t say I was thrilled when the temperature suddenly dropped 30 degrees in one day. next week is looking to be a better one, and mom’s visiting!

It’s amazing how slow time can go when you are waiting. I swear I thought it was thursday on tuesday T_T. Now that it’s friday, I’m just getting even more jittery. Of course, I should probably just go preoccupy myself with work, because god knows I have lots of that (a paper, a midterm, projects, thesis, and apps >.<). except all I want to do is play with my new goodies from sephora -_-.

Nasher was fun, though I was slightly surprised how low the turn-out was. Maybe it’s a bad time in the semester (midterms?), or maybe the weather deterred everyone (but what about yule ball and viennese?). It’s probably just a lack of advertisement. but the food was good, and picaso was…interesting. I honestly find modern art a bit…exhausting to appreciate. I guess I’m just not used to it. It didn’t help that I had to leave a third way into the gallery >_>

ok, off to shower, lunch, then work.

attack of the squirrels

i don’t know about you, but I never thought these things were capable of making any sounds. but I guess I was enlightened this early morning by one creepy squirrel screeching like a banshee on my windowsill. it was definitely not my preferred choice of waking up on a day that I don’t have classes (or ever). this also happened to be an extremely stubborn squirrel, mind you. it simply refused to budge even though I kept hitting on the window, and it just kept making that ridiculous noise that I thought only belonged in sci-fi/horror movies….

ten hours later, when I returned to my apt., I see two bushy tails sticking out of the drain pipe. and as I’m typing this entry, a squirrel is climbing up and down my freakin’ window. I’m officially creeped out by squirrels for the rest of my life.

if you are laughing, I don’t blame you. I would too, if this weren’t my apartment.
