even with the insane weather (tornadoes and then 90+ weather) here, I still love summer. And today could not have had a better start. I finally met the professor I’ve been working with in person, he was absolutely delightful. We discussed the course website, criminal law, Chinese bureaucracy, and our shared misery in linear algebra. Meanwhile, I had a cup of deliciously foamed and creamy chai latte and a three cheese quiche cooked to perfection, finished with an adorable blueberry yogurt parfait. Now that’s my idea of a perfect breakfast.

At precisely 9, I walked to work, which was conveniently down the street. It had started drizzling, but thankfully not pouring.
